Use Pallets To Create Attractive Displays For Your Merchandise
Pallets are typically used to ship heavy items or multiple units that will be transported to the same destination, but they can also be used for advertising purposes. If you tend to toss wooden pallets outdoors and spend money on commercial displays, consider using some of the pallets to create makeshift displays that will effectively promote seasonal items or ones that are currently on sale.
A Colorful Floor Display
Pallets are sturdy enough to hold bulky items that would normally take up a lot of space on shelves. Adding a bright or muted color of paint that contrasts with the color and texture of items that are displayed will make your goods stand out. Use acrylic or latex paint to add color to each wooden beam.
For a colorful display that is going to be used to promote many items, use a few different pallets and paint each one a different color or create one large platform. Then you can lay a few pallets alongside one another and use two or three colors of paint to create stripes or another painted pattern across each wooden beam that will be exposed.
Pallets can be stacked on top of one another or can remain in a single layer. You also have the option of moving the displays to various parts of your store whenever you would like to change up the product display layout inside of your business. Colorful pieces of fabric can also be used to cover specific pallets or can be laid underneath one or more of the display pieces.
A Rustic Racking System
Wood naturally gives off an earthy scent and the smell and color of weathered boards can aid with creating a rustic racking system. Clean each pallet and use sandpaper to smooth rough edges. You can use a drill to create holes along the middle of each beam that runs across the top of each pallet. Then, insert metal rods through the holes. Afterward, you can use rubber caps to cover the ends of the rods and then use hangers to suspend clothing or accessories from each rod. Once your project is complete, you can lean the racking system against an interior wall. To stabilize the racking system, use hardware to secure the pallet to the wall.
Secure a strand of shimmering lights across the top of each pallet that comprises the racking system. Integrate seasonal decor to give the rustic rack an outdoor vibe. Potted flowers, haystacks, gourds, and pumpkins will intertwine with the rustic theme and make the display pleasing to the eyes.
